I want to start doing more lure fishing for pike. I am after a 8 footer with a pistol grip for my Shimano Bantam Magnumlite baitcasting reel which is still in perfect condition. Something like the Gord Burton rods would be fine.

Most of my pike fishing will be confined to Fenland drains.

Any suggetions? I don't mind paying a bit for a quality rod as it will be a one-off purchase.

Ron, try Dave Lumb all of his rods are built on Harrison blanks which I know you approve of, he'll custom build to your requirements and I'm sure more than few members of this forum will vouch for the quality of his products.

Ron,Check out Mick Browns range of lure rods.I have a super lure rod which is ideal for the Fen drains.
