Chaps,

Apologies if this seems a stupid question. Can somebody pleeease tell me how you are supposed to attach your landing net to the D-ring on the back of your waistcoat??

Is it via a zinger or some other device? I cant find any info on the web at all. Once you've detached to land a fish, how to you re-attach again quickly without it becoming a fiddle?

Thanks for any help.

mines got a hook on it near the net, the main problem is if it's wet it drips down your neck.

so once i've caught i just carry it.

There is a belt clip near the head. The art is putting on the clip while stood in the river with a rod in one hand and the net in the other. I tend to carry mine on a spare wader belt or on my sholder bag.

Gus,

I use a magnetic net release (two magnets, one attached to the net and one suspended from the D ring) along with a lanyard for safety's sake.
Putting the net back on is easy. The magnets are so strong they seek each other out when they are within a few inches.

Orvis make them, among others. I think mine was made by Stonefly.
