Anybody out there tell me what the Wharfe is looking like at the moment? I'm thinking of going up tommorrow for a spot of lure fishing but with all the rain lately I'm wondering if its going to be a bit to coloured.

It was the colour of milky tea on Tuesday -fine for barbel, useless for lures.

Today I was walking by the River Washburn, a feeder stream for the Wharfe. The Washburn was clear and at normal level.

Cheers Keith; ended up going on the stainforth and keadby canal today instead. Might give the Wharfe a try Sunday if we don't get any rain.

Tony, when I went over the Wharfe at Pool today on my way to the Swale it was at normal level, so it should be just right on Sunday - not too much rain forecast.

Well after all that I'm going on the Trent tommorrow; boat fishing on Gunthorpe weir. Don't know if Gunthorpe holds a good head of pike but democracy has prevailed and thats where "the lads" are going so thats that!!
