Read my "Hot Peg" comments in the next Angling Star. There is no doubt that if the clubs renting the angling rights along the River Don had been members of the ACA, substantial compensations would be obtained for these associations and the polluter would think again before releasing large quantities of raw sewage into the river.

As they have just done again!!

The truth of the matter is that the EA has no teeth. The ACA has.

So you have no excuse, it couldn't be easier - join now!

Here, here. Have to say that the EA does have the necessary legislative powers, if it wishes to use them. It just doesn't have the will - Government and business spend so much time cuddling up to one another these days. Sad that many official regulators take the same approach - nobody wants to rock the boat.

All the more reason for us all to belong to the ACA. Without them, we have nobody to pursue polluters and force them to pay for the damage they do.
