I thought this might be the case eventually. When the world wide tackle trade, aerospace, armaments and sports industries world wide puts its trust in just a few Far East manufacturers of carbon cloth, then something is sure to go feet up.
The problem is that a few plants in the world making the raw materials of carbon fibre cannot supply the demand. There are two answers to this, either the west must invest in certain technology which perhaps it does not have at present, and make the stuff, or we go back to glass and split cane!
