I am working at the Bacton Gas Terminal earl August.

I'm planning on staying near the River Ant near Stalham (Wayford Bridge) - a few miles north east of Norwich.

Does anyone know a few spots I could fish during the evenings - day ticket or free?

Ludham Bridge downstream on the west bank all the way to St Benet's Abbey is free (I think; you used to get day tickets for the Ant, the Thurne at Coldharbour and the Bure at St Benets from Ludham post office. 25p in 1988! Don't think they were compulsory though.

Evenings can be good there, once the boat traffic dies off. Caster or maggot under a float mid-stream almost anywhere will get roach and perch, whilst groundbait feeder and worm or flake might produce bream if you find them.
