Get them into a bigger box and keep the lid off. Also dust with corn meal or custard powder this will dry them out. You must keep them in a cool place (the fridge) or in a large tub. A bucket works well with a cloth over the top in the garage or cellar.
If you need to keep them for a while bag them up and remove all the air and store in a cool place. Every couple of days open the bags for a couple of hours. They last well over a week this way.
