Peterborough northbank newbie

Been fishing 35 years and match fishing to high level 25 of them but know local knowledge always worth seeking out. Recently moved to Whittlesey and like the look of the part of the Nene I think they call northbank that runs from Thorney rd junction up to flag fen area. Can anyone tell me much about it please? Depth, flow, suggested tactics and baits etc. I'm mainly a feeder flinger these days.
