Does anybody lay bait trails while stillwater fishing?
I think that a lot of anglers put all their bait on a dustbin lid size of area or slightly wider. Or simply have three or more feeding areas, and then go hopping from one to the other to try and find the fish, depending on the size of the water.
But what about the waiting game style of angling?
If you think of a letter (V) or (X).
Starting at the two or four widest points, A small scattering of baits would lead down to the apex of the (V) or (X) where you would want the main feeding area to be.
Has anybody ever done this or still do it? What were your results? I have only ever seen this done on one occasion, and the results were very good.
