Hi guys,

I need some help choosing next years fishing holiday.

We've done the Stour for the last two years and want to go somewhere different next year.

It has to be a river in the UK, travelling distance is no problem. We might be five people strong next year, so accomodation is an issue. Four of us live in Bristol and one awkward sod lives in Swindon.

We are thinking of the river Kennet? Although, I would like to go North to the Trent and the surrounding rivers?

Cheers guys, any ideas would be very welcome.

the Don!
its north of the trent,
use bivies that sorts the accom out.
make the person from swindon catch the train more room for bait!
sorted.

if you dont have much luck you can travel north to the river nidd/swale.
travel east abit to the trent,
west to the ribble and down the m1 to the derwent.

Norfolk, the Bure, the Yare and the Wensum. First two have fished their 'heads off' this summer.
Plenty of accommodation of all types and prices.

Seriously though Steve,

Try a BAA card and a google for Teme valley guest houses, it's the most beautiful area I have ever fished. Specimen pike, zander, barbel, chub, bream, perch, roach, carp etc you bet your bum!

Teme, Severn and estate lakes available. PM me for more extensive non-publishable details.

Regards,

****y

Though I'm not from those parts I think ****y has the best suggestion so far. My beloved River Ribble for example ain't a great venue for visiting or casual anglers because so much of the water is club fishing, members only.
