Abu reels

ive been down the tackle shop and seen two reels which i like. they are abu cardinal and the asent. i need info on how smooth the drag is cause ive used reels were it's jerky.

I've never known any ABU to have a jerky clutch, although I haven't used any of their recent reels, I would assume this was still the case.

I fished with a pair of 75's until the new bait runner was launched. The line lay was good especially on the metal spools (which you unfortunately cannot buy spares, only plastic). The drag was okay, reliable, but if anything it was difficult to lock up when needed.

i think il give them a miss then i need a real smooth drag.
