hi, does anyone go bass fishing in the north east area, like redcar, saltburn, whitby etc?

also is it best to go when tide is out?

ive done abit of reading and found that its best to use worms or peeler crab for ledger or a plug, i think i will just use a plug for time been till i get into it abit more.

also what should i look out for, for a area to fish?

any advice is much appreciated

thanks

Hi dan, i know there is good bass fishing in between redcar and markse. If u go just past the stray cafe its on that stretch of beach. About 100 yards out there is a shelf that the bass are known to patrol, been a while since ive been tho! Hope this helps.

e2a: when you say past the stray cafe, do you mean more to maske or redcar, or does it not really matter just fish that stretch of beach?

More to marske, down thru the sand dunes. I think u will be best of using a ledger as u will need to get a good cast out to get to the shelf and leave a piece of bait in there.
