How big an area should I be groundbaiting on canal stretch where I fish?? How much should I use?

I usually target the bream

At this time of the year I would probably do away with the groundbait for the canal. What I find works a treat it to fire a small pouch or two of micro pellets in down the track (boat chanel) to get the swim going. Thereafter I would feed an even smaller pouch of micro pellets in about every 10-15 minutes. Fish a 10 mil pellet on the hook.
I found that a single piece of French Maize on the hook sorts the better Bream out.

Spread your bait over a diustbin lid sized area.

Also use bread punch on the hook. A pen top size works well (or an actual pen top). 16's hook.

hi everyone can anyone give me any tips on groundbait for the winter and pva bagging like how many boilies to put in and so on much appreciated. tight lines
