can anyone recomend a suitable ledger rig as i keep getting caught in silk like weed in my local canal

Is this silk like weed on the bottom Steve?
If so it would be best to spend time and rake a swim out or lead about for a clear spot.

Other than that try a paternoster rig with something like flake on the hook. The flake will settle on top of the weed.
