I'm looking for a new spinning rod suitable for both trout and bass fishing,max.11ft.must
be 3pc.any ideas or suggestions welcome.

I don't think you can strike a compromise -11ft is nearly at the upper limit for a spinning rod, and in my view would probably be designed for salmon.

If you're catching big bass then no doubt an 11ft salmon rod would be fine, but it would be too stiff for most trout.

If you're fishing for river trout averaging a pound or so, an 8ft rod suitable for lures up to an ounce would be about right.

usually do is in shallow water, trout fishing
in a large lake that is very deep 200ft. in places hence the need for something a bit beefier than normal,I'm not desperate so I'll
keep looking. once again thanks.
