I fish for trout around the Saddleworth/Oldham area, I am a member of the Saddleworth Angling Society with Trout fishing at fairbanks Pool in Diggle and a long stretch of the river Tame through Saddleworth, Brown trout in the river.
I am not able to travel to far from home to fish so I would appreciate any knowledge of good waters around my area.
I consider myself as a dry fly enthusiast, thats my favourite method. there is no feeling like a dry fly being taken by a trout.
At the moment our pool at Fairbanks is closed for the season because of a problem with the water intake and that is being rectified, but no fishing till next season,
