was on holiday on the rhine the other weekand saw alot of people fishing , only saw one fish caught , a zander of about 6/7lbs which was immediatly filletted on the bank.

In several states in Germany, and contrary to popular belief all of Germany, all fish you catch have to be killed and eaten. In other words you can only go fishing if you fish for the pot.
