fishing near wooler northumberland

Hello can somebody please tell me of some local stillwaters to wooler i.e. within 30 mins. drive as my family and I are going on holiday the first week in april 2007 coarse or fly as i enjoy both thank you, noel

There's a list of local waters on the Northumberland Tourism website at www.northumberland.gov.uk/vg/fish.html

It's more likely to be game than coarse up there, although you are pretty close to Felton Fence, which is supposed to be a decent coarse fishery. I don't know whether they shut up shop for the coarse close season though.
