by martin bowler. Has anybody read it? Is it worth getting?

Thinking of buying a few angling books this week. Any more recommendations? looking at "all round" coarse angling books, with an emphasis on inspirational tales rather than technical/instructional stuff.

Thanks in advance :w

Jon Berry's book Beneath the Black Water is a great read, not about alround coarse fishing, but an anglers single species obsession in hunting down ferox trout.

For alround fishing Chris Turnbull has a new book out called Reflections

Danny

I have got and read A fish for all Seasons, it's a lovely big book and a good read.

It's what I think you would call a " Coffee Table " book, it's a wide book, with beautiful pictures.

Lots of good books out there at the moment covering most Species.

No, haven't read it Danny, I would also be interested in hearing any comments from those who have.
Martin seems to have picked up a few filming tips from Hugh though.

Cheers for the ideas lads.

Ordered the following, "beneath the black water" like the look of this and its been recommended by a few anglers.

Others are "Angling days" by Dave Tipping. "falling in again" by Chris Yates and "In visible waters" by Bailey they should keep me busy for a bit.

Danny,

Be careful, collecting Books can addictive, in the end you don't know what to do with them all ?

Addictive? Just buy more book shelves!

I'll recommend my own book - Big Roach - which has been very well-received.

Just finishing Beneath the Black Water, a cracking story.

Mark,

With over 400 books, there's a limit to how many Book Shelves you can put up ?

Good book by the way !!

Just to throw another into the mix Dave Tipping and Tim Ridge have a new book from Little Egret Press called Still-Water Angling which judging from the quality of Daves previous books and the good sense Tim posts on a number of club forums should be worth getting.
