Coolbag/box and ice packs initially.

Then leave them outside on a cold surface is the best you can do.

Make sure they get plenty of air and don't sweat up.

At worse, riddle them each night and take off the casters, wash and keep in an air tight bag for use.

As above, plus keep them dry by adding a tablespoon or so, per pint, of dry porridge oats and keep somewhere shady and cool. Near cold water pipes is good.
Don't chuck the chrysalids, they make good rudd, ide and roach bait.

The best way to keep maggots is to put them in a freezer bag and squeeze as much of the air out as possible and tie off the top. Keep them in a cool box or a cool bag with some freezer blocks in it and they will keep for up to a week. Don't worry if they look dead, they're not - just dormant. If you're keeping them for longer than a couple of days, open the bag up to let some air in every day.

Keeping them like this stops them sweating up and they soon revive once you open the bag. You should be able to find somewhere to re-freeze your blocks.

or............... wait for it..... you could just take enough for a few days and then buy some more fresh ones? Unless you are fishing in some wild off beat place in the middle of nowhere???
