My Mitchell EX-S 2000 concept spool seized up on me so I sent it off to Pure Fishing for repair but unfortunately Mitchell have stopped making them sothey sent me a Mitchell Avocet Pro AV-2000PF to replace it AND free of charge, now that's what I call "reel" service in this present day.

Very nice. They did me proud once in replacing a landing net handle with a far more expensive one.

However, I wrote to them by email one week ago and still haven't had a reply.

Great service. That's what a good company is built on.

Another is Browning; I used a couple of Browning 8510's for a good few years and every time I sent them back to Browning for service/repair they were replaced by a new real.

I recall the charge was about £5 .

Some peoplepay £80 to get a couple of tap washers changed these days
