Helping new members

There's a guy asking for advice about Cuban fishing on the Beginners section, with no reply as yet (and I can't help him.) But it suddenly occurred to me that I hadn't visited that section for a while.

I know we like averbal brawl, but it's very remiss of us if we don't help our newcomers from time to time. I'm wearing my hair shirt as you read this....

not that i know anything about cuba, but the flogging might be fun.

I know naff all about fishing in Cuba but if he has a spare ticket i will gladly give him a hand in sussing it out .

How well I remember the days in SA, when come Christmas, I would buy a box of 50 Romeo & Juliets. And with it a bottle of the best French VSOP Cognac.

And sit and indulge myself for a couple of hours after Christmas dinner and then go to sleep.

The wife used to get all upset when the guests arrived for for the evening and I was snoring away.
