I might be searching for the impossible, but here goes:

I'm looking for a light spinning rod. Not quite ultralight perhaps. Optimum casting weight say 5-20 grams. Ideally at least 8 foot long. Cork handle, ideally the 'sculptered' type so you hold cork, not a reel seat. Under 50 quid.

Any ideas?

Ric I use a Daiwa whisker spinning rod 7ft 5 to 20 gms a good rod for most fish. Light sensitive tip for flicking out small to medium spinners, yet plenty of power in the pencil thin blank, without feeling like a poker. sadly this rod is out of production....... But its new replacement is called the Daiwa excelor. There are also some very good shimano rods out there, shop around for the best deals!

I've seen the new BeastMasters recently, very nice rods indeed!!!

Phone them and query this one -
SBMAX240ML Beastmaster AX 2.1m Med Light 5-20g RRP ?48.99 Theirs ?39.99

Note the code says 240, I suspect it's a 2.4 metre one meaning it's 8 foot.
