For me it when it baking hot and bright sun in the middle of the day

Her Ladyship will say - thought you'd want to go fishing

I then explain I'll wait till evening an it colls down a bit - fishing will be better

What about you - when will you not go fishing?

I don't night fish, in fact i haven't night fished for many a year.

I also won't go if the winds are very very strong and it's pouring with rain and the forecast is for long spells of it, i don't see the point of peeing myself off just for the sake of it, there'll be other days.

When we have had severe frosts for several days running it usually means that the pools are frozen and i haven't river fished for a good few years now.

I don't fish much after dusk after loosing too many floats, bank stick ect due to failing to pack all my gear

I don't go if it's raining but will stay if it rains whilst I'm there

I think my choices would change if my fishing was different .... i would fish more throughout winter if i fished Rivers as they don't freeze over (well not often).

Like yourself i don't mind fishing in the rain, but i prefer not to go if the weather is really bad.

I've had three of my biggest crues at MF a few years ago between 12am and 2pm when it was uncomfortable to fish - high 80's

not saying you wont ctach and I've had times when I've fished in the heat and caught rudd on the drop whist feeding carp on the top and then every 15 min and catching the carp but generally I find it's not a productive time

On any water when a close season is in place, other than that if I was too sick e.g. two broken wrists.
