Hi, just wondering what everyone's fav reels are?

Spinning reel = mines is my stradic gtm rc the fighting drag is brilliant

Freespool reels= ? Cant comment as I'm currently looking for my first decent one

hi,
Well, my favourite fixed spool reels for lure fishing have got to be my shimano techniums they are superb for the money!
my favourite bait-casting reels have got to be my ABU ambassadors, still made in Sweden!
And my all time fave freespool reel has got to be the one and only shimano D series baitrunners! I have the 4000 (read my other posts) and they are stunning reels, they are made for the USA saltwater game fishing market so you know they are well made! I cannot heap enough praise on these reels, they are fabulous!!

Match type leger/float reels used to be original Japanese Stradics but they've been usurped and totally outclassed by the new Twinpower Ci4s.
Baitrunners - Shimano Ds
Pit/big river barbel reels - Shimano Ultegra XTB 5500.

Hard to beat abu multipliers, I use a ambassador record rcn 61, its pretty freaking awesome
