Does anyone have them?

Looking to put " All fish must be returned alive" in the major EE languages, Polish, Latvian, Portugese, Russian and Lithuanian on all out club notices.

Is Google any good [reliable] for translations?

Very comprehensive but no translation into French or German, the French will eat anything with the inclusion of a few cloves of crushed garlic.

Maybe we first need some in English.

Even club controlled waters seldom have any signs on them.

Many waters should have signs warning of possible infection if you and/or your pet go in them.

Not quite, Bavarians actually, from the south.

The Pirate.

I ate battered Carp fryed in butter (i think that was the translation) in Nuremberg... It was lovely!

Zander (pike/perch) in Switerland.......

I prepare and eat sea fish when appropriate size and really enjoy. Funny thing is, when angling in the UK, eating a coarse fish is furthest from my mind, couldn't even consider it. Years of conditioning.........

Zander are one of the best eating fish in the world.

Virtually every zander I've ever caught has been eaten. There is certainly no shortage of them.

Barrie Rickards recipe is one of the best.

I don't consider the zander to be a coarse fish. They taste better than any trout or salmon.

Is it still ok to kill Zander or have they become a British species like other imports ? Now that we have specialist groups.
I would love to try them, as for the best tasting freshwater I'd have to say Trout, best sea Gilt Head Bream.
I have read the best fish anywhere in the world is South African Snook. :w

Speaking yesterday to a committee member of one of our local angling clubs, they are only too pleased that all zander caught are eaten. I hope to get a couple this winter.

Get the chips and mushy organised!

Thanks everyone for the replies inc. The Pirate:rolleyes:
There seems to be several variations of these translations so I've gone with some images instead of text.

Any notice/sign erected on the waters my club lease from the Dean & Chapter (Durham Cathedral) have to as inconspicuous as possible

I'll change the colour to dark green then!!:D

Happily we don't have that problem, if anyone is offended they usually blast our signs with a 12 bore!!:eek::eek:
