Some very nice fish caught especially that perch of yours Wendy, what a cracker eh! Canals can be funny venues in the winter but it looked as though the gods smiled on you all and you thoroughly enjoyed yourselves which is what it is all about really, enjoyment.

Sorry there are no captions on the pictures. The write-up and pictures came from several sources and I just haven't had time to sort out captions - mainly due to none being supplied in some cases!

Wish I'd been there though, and hoping I can make the next one.

On the road to rack & ruin !!!
Nice to read about the days events from more than one person, every one has a different tale to tell.It sounds and looks like you all had a cracking day despite the rain. What a beauty of a perch wendy and an excellent pike as well....well done.

There is allways a feeling of friendship and a desire to help others from a lot of folk on this site and it extends to these fish-ins/meets....long may it continue!!!

Steve, perhaps you could teach the old pooch to swim...starting with the doggy paddle???

Hope to see you all at the next shindig down there.

Really interesting reports - well done to all especially to Wendy - I haven't caught pike or perch as big as that so I'm very envious!

I didn't get to see THE PERCH!. What a fish!

I saw a similar one about 30 years ago, not too many since.

The Pike was good, but the Perch was top class. Very well done Wendy, those two fish in the same afternoon and from a canal is some going.

Paul, you're so right (in your write up).

Just look at the smiles on Claudia's and Wendy's faces. How often do you see that sort of pleasure and enthusiasm in the standard fishing photo usually published in the press?

Brilliant.

It really was a special day for me, we all made some new friends and the smiles tell the story.
This fish-in was what fishing is all about! We all caught fish, well, nearly all of us! And we all had great fun, the team spirit was amazing, it didn't matter who caught what.

It was lovely to meet Claudia (Nutter!) and Wendy (I must get me some of those pheromone thingies!) oh and the blokes too ;-)

My thumb has almost healed (no worries chav's) and yes Dan, too bluddy right I am!

What a brilliant day we had!

Thank you all, for making it such a special day for me, I won't forget it, the scars will always remind me ;-)

You don't do you Neil?.......the utter honesty in their faces makes it all such a perfect day!

And we did think Wends pike was a 20 for a few seconds didn't we? :)
