The annual fishing competition extends from South Seahouses Harbour to Lynemouth Pipe, over 10 miles of coastline.

This is one of the most successful opens in the north east and last year over 500 anglers took part.

Entry fee is ?10 and there is ?5,500 in prizes to be won, including a first prize of ?600 and a trophy.

The competition takes place between 9am and 1pm.

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the nominated charity for this year's event and money raised will help the Trust fund research into treating and curing CF.
