Have a look at this story on the PAC Blog tonight - click link at end.

Is this the end of fishing as we know it, as in no more wondering what's going on down there - now you can watch it on CCTV.

On the road to rack & ruin !!!
I gotta admit that i wouldn`t mind one near my bait for a while just out of curiosity i suppose.
I have seen the korda underwater carp dvds and they certainly opened my eyes to a lot of things....dispelled some myths about feeding fish behaviour, how rigs and lines react in the water etc...
Even if you don`t fish for carp,i reccomend you get hold of these dvds/videos and watch them....excellent veiwing.

As I cant see most of my bottom half whilst having a bath, I think this under water camera would be very helpful to myself and other fat people to make sure we wash all the bits we can no longer see!

Many many many years ago Alistair Nicholson forecast this at one of the Specialist Anglers conferences, Reading I think?
Only he was talking Fibre Optics!

Well, a fine mate you are Woody!
I walk the World?okay I waddle through the World of thin people, looking for some support?a pal?a mate who will stick by me, buy me a pie when I am down on my luck and stuff!
And there you go, I make a sensible post, trying to move forward the research into why fat people cant see their tackle in the bath?and you just?just?have a go?I feel really weepy.
I am going to ask Ron Clay to be my new friend now!

Not cheap at ?375 special offer, add a bait boat for accurate placement puts you up around 1000 quid. Now I can see all the anglers nationally rushing out to buy this product. Particularly the Tackle Tarts LoL!

On a more serious note, I can see some benefits of using one. Such as dispelling some of the myths around angling - Twitch bites and what is actually happening, how many fish are in your swim feeding at any one time. The possibilities for supplying information are relatively limitless. Who knows such information could lead to a radical rethink of the way we fish.

The devise would however have some limitations, deep waters below 5 metres where light penetrations is poor and the only pictures you?d get would be a few inches in front of the camera. Likewise, turbid water the images would be poor. Deep silty waters and you may not get any pictures at all due to sinking into the silt.

I guess the devise is only an observational tool at the end of the day, and the skill if there is any, would be interpreting those observations to put more fish on the bank.

Derbyshire: best beer, best cheese, best puddings.
How could you guarantee it was pointing at your bait?

Why is it disguised as a lure instead of say a stone?

If a pike eats it will it continue to broadcast an image?

I don't get how you use it. Do you just attempt to cast it to where you cast your rig or are you supposed to attach that metal loopy bit to you terminal tackle? If so how do you cast with two rods simultaniously?
