THIS IS MY GREATEST FISHING MOMENT WHICH I WANT TO SHARE
On my local river ( Gala Water ) Feeder to the TWEED
One day i was fishing when i caught a 5lb 10 oz sea trout on the river Gala , I was having a woeful day with no bites
Then suddenly an almight pull & 10 mins later a lovely silver sea trout was landed,At last i had caught , This was caught on a worm
It had been such a bad day till then that i was on the verge of going home
Now i was on such a high , I thought maybe its time to go home
But no , Another cast i thought would do it for the day , So i did
Same pool , Different method ,, A spinner was now attatched
I cast out & thud , Oh no it felt like a real tough snag , 1 of my good spinners was going to be lost When SUDDENLY the snag started moving upstream at a rate of knots , Another fish , This felt HUGE , Th battle continued for near 20 mins , Another sea trout i thought or maybe even a salmon ,But NO it was a Wild Brown Trout ( 7LB 5OZ ) A CRACKER , MY BEST EVER , I Was delighted , So the Moral of my story was 2 Trout within 2 casts a total of 12lbs, Fantastic
2 Days later , I sent a reading of the Brown trouts scales to the tweed foundation & They sent me a certificate & letter back to confirm it was the largest Brown trout for the River EVER , Also they said the fish was at LEAST 12 years Old But may of been many years older
