ive got a okuma baitfeeder with ten bb
and shimano baitrunner aero xte with 5 bb.
i want to know why the shimano is so much smoother than the okuma but has less bb s

prob in the balance and craftsmanship i only have a two shimano,s a baitrunner 5000 and a 2500 and both as smooth as glass only okuma i have is sheffield centre pin but thats so smooth it runs away with me

My Shakespeare International closed face reel has none, sounds like a coffee grinder but it works.

Cheap ball bearings are about a fiver,top quality ABEC 7/s are about thirty quid retail each,you do the maths.
