Fred, it's good to see the EA finally accepted a little help on the cherwell, the work they are planning to do will make a big difference to that stretch of river

It's took a while but it's been worth it, the baby barbel that were stocked over the last couple of years are being caught fairly regularly now.

Keep up the good work Pete and the barbel society

Cheers
Jason

Hi Kev, the actual auction hasn't started and won't until the first week of December,we will be setting up all the lots on the 17th November and keep it running for about 2 weeks.

So if you want to bid, just mail me with your maximum bid and I'll watch it for you and bid on your behalf.

Thanks for your help with the other special lot ;)

Strictly speaking Peter you need to be a member(half year offer £15 still available) as it's on-line through the members forum .

The detail of last years auction is here:

R & C Auction

Any member can proxy bid on your behalf, and each lot runs for a fixed 15 minutes, so if you fancy any lot you can do as I've advised Jollyboy, or join up.

Fred,

I joined earlier today, (inlcuding the fiver for the Research Projects) I've been meaning to for a long time if only for the Close Season approach.

Glad to hear it Peter welcome aboard.
You will need to sign up for the Forum/Bulletin board, not a 5 minute job as the website controller needs to hear from the Membership Secretary.

I passed your message on Jason, this is the response.

Good stuff Fred. Am meeting with Wild Trout Trust next week, and doing a presentation in November for them in Sussex; will send details shortly.
The Cherwell Project is partnership between EA, Wild Trout Trust, and the Barbel Society. Pete

We are now becoming very active with the WDT.

Yes, I went onto the BS Home page and there is a link to join.

You then click on the PayPal option and pay accordingly.

A half year membership was 15 pounds with an option to throw in another fiver to help with the conservation Projects.

Welcome to the Barbel Society Website. The national organisation for all barbel anglers.

Thanks and that was easy enough....even for me:D

Thanks Steve,

I've not seen my membership pack yet as I work in France during the week but I will hopefully get it on Friday when I get home.
