I am currently half way through "The Waterlog Years" by Chris Yates. After this I will be devouring "River Diaries" and "Four Seasons". This will mean I will have read everything he has ever committed to print.
Now, I am not the sort to be an obsessive fan, but I must say I am enjoying "The Waterlog Years" as much as anything he has ever written - perhaps even more. By its very nature, some of it seems a little ordinary, but given the man's output and limited fishing time that is forgiveable. The majority of it, though, gives you further insight into Chris Yates the man, the father and the professional.
I heartily recommend it to any Yates fan and I congratulate Chris on being an all-round, real life angling hero.
I would give an awful lot to spend a day at the waterside with him.
