When float fishing for tench how much ground bait do you introduce into the swim at the start of the session?
when the weather is a bit warmer and I'm fishing in a known tench swim i sometimes throw in about 8 golf ball sized balls of ground bait, before i start setting up my tackle.
Once im ready to start fishing i cast little and often with maggots etc and then feed another small ball of ground bait every 20 minutes or so.
This tactic has worked quite well for me me in the past, would you go around the feeding differently?
