Fred, no, didn't spot the Woodpeckers but plenty of other wildlife.
Lots of Kingfishers during the day though and quite a few Pheasants (they're huge down there).
Did see an Otter trotting along the path as I made my way downstream that morning. Bold as brass it was, paused when it heard me, just looked and carried on.
As usual there were a couple of Cormorants sunning themselves on the pylons (centre distance on photo) later on in the day.
