garbolino scimiter pole

I picked up amongst some other stuff a garbolino scimiter pole in excellent condition, but it does not give any clue as to elastic rating.
Anyone any ideas

if in doubt dont go above say a No.10-12

That is an old pole, 15 years or so I'd say and in those days a No. 8 elastic was the highest rated pole so draw you own conclusions, heavy by todays standards as well.

Thanks, actually not too heavy a pole.
Will try with an 8's.
