Huge ain't they?.....nice fella Frank, he once stopped carping to chat and watch me roaching on a specialist carp water!

Knows his stuff to, not like some the instant wannabes who know sweet FA.

Peter both fish would have been returned.

There have been more than 25 catfish over 200 lbs from the Seagre/Ebro around Mequinenza in the last 12 months with the largest over 225 lbs.

A length of 9 feet for a fish of 203lb would make it a very long fish indeed. My biggest from that area cauight in October last year went 155 lb for a length of 7 feet 4 inches.

The two of them dont look very alive to me!
Are you suggesting Frank sacked one while he landed the other so they could then be photographed together? I think not.

Peter - bigs cats lie very still once on the bank so I'd be amazed if thety were not alive.

I'm not sure if it still happens but some guides uded to put big cats on a stringer whilst setting up for photo's so this may be what has happened...

Stringing was the method used when I was there a couple of years ago and as I understood it it is illegal to kill your catch in Ebro. As Gary points out catfish at that size dont move on land.

Gary and Chister, I really hope you are right because it would be a tragedy to kill cats of that size.

What a fantastic catch. Well done that man.

" doubt Frank Warrick would let them be killed......."
Knowing of his reputation as an angler that's the last thing he would do.
