Hi Ken, Signed it yesterday when I first read your letter elsewhere on this site.
I agree, my mother had to go cap in hand (well, I did it for her as she was incapable) to get funding for a home. Filled in a myriad of forms all quite baffling then 3 years later they said they'd been paying her an allowance of ?12 per week for a disability.
I wrote and said she still had that disability, but they said they wanted the money back since the local Council were covering her costs. I then said they could take a running jump and they then threatened to stop her money completely untill it was paid back.
In a final letter I told them that if they wanted it back I would see them in Court. They then dropped the case.
Nazis, that's all they are, Nazis. "Social Services" - humbug!
