THE coarse fishing season runs all year and most waters hold all sorts of quality fish, from small roach to huge carp.

Most anglers start their fishing by going with a friend or family member.

But there are a great many people who want to take up coarse fishing but just don't know where to start or where to go.

Mainwarings Angling Centre and Brynmill Angling Club are offering free coaching during May on Singleton Boating Lake.

All tackle and bait is provided and it is a great opportunity for youngsters to learn how to fish and what fishing is all about. It is open to anyone who wants to start coarse fishing. All tackle and bait are provided free and you don't even need a rod licence

There will be approved friendly coaches, so just come along and have some fun!

They are on Wednesday evenings from 6-8pm on May 16, 23 and 30. Reserve your space now at Mainwarings Angling Centre, Sketty, tel 01792 202245.

The courses are organised by Brynmill District Angling Club and Mainwarings Angling Centre with thanks to Swansea Council and the Environment Agency.
