boltrig feeder

I've made myself a couple of inline boltrig cage feeders, they are quite heavy probably 2 ounces, i plan to use them for tench and carp with a short hooklink of about 3 inches.

Does anyone have experience of fishing this type of rig.

Just looking for some tips, i suppose it would be similar to fishing the method feeder.
