caught my pb gudgeon today, maybe should have weighed it as i just looked and saw the the british record is only 5oz.

just think i could have had my picture splashed all over the weeklies, if id only taken that photo

there used to be some huge gudgeon and bleak in the trent,

I recon the records for these may have been equaled or even beaten many times if peole bothered to weigh them

Only the anglers who know anything about Gudgeon, and their records would bother to weigh such an apparently small fish. Most wouldn't even know there is a record for them.

all jokes aside i do need to get myself a descent set of scales and a camera.
Even if it's just to record some memories.
Me and my mate do have some great fun.

I assume you mean whilst fishing you have fun...those sort of antics don't need to be discussed here nicky :0P I had a big gudgeon a few weeks back but it probably wasn't a record shaker, still was a chunky little fellow
