Hi - does anybody have any info/advice about the fishing at Lyons Gate Caravan Park, Cerne Abbas, Dorset. My son and I have been asked to accompany another dad & lad for a two day/one night fishing trip in early August. Their website only has basic info - a first hand report would be very useful. Thanks.

Give them a ring Andy I am sure they will be able to help you with whats being caught and what tactics are good.

Tried that. Now I'm looking for a report from somebody who's actually fished it, and see if it concurs with the info from the site operator. So, anybody been there?

You can see the lakes on Windows Live HERE

Look very recent and artificial, so anything caught in them must have been stocked.

Mark - thanks, very useful. Certainly does look raw - either that or all the grass has gone from the banks through over-use! Something other than the site operator's info/report is going to be needed before I part with any cash to visit this place.
