Christchurch Harbour

Hi, does anyone have any information on fly fishing in Christchurch Harbour, Dorset. I know that the harbour produces good catches of mullet, sea trout and the occassional bass, but am unsure of how well it fishes on the fly. Any info regarding flies, locations etc would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Rog, go to www.orvis.co.uk and in the experts section is a guy called Justin Anwyl who will be able to help you. He fishes out of Chichester harbour but will undoubtedly be of help.

Hi Al, thanks for the response. Visited the article and all good stuff. Actually tried Christchurch and although weather conditions far from ideal managed to coax one sea bass out. Not too large, but certainly big enough to give a good account for himself.
