Is there any fish with more attitude than a jack pike.
When you get them in the net they do their very best to tie it in knots or rip it to peices.
When you get them sorted out they look at you with a scowl on their face that lets you know how absolutely pi55ed off they are at being caught.
Then when you return them they slink away for a good old sulk.
Ive not had any big pike but it seems to me the bigger they are the more laid back they are.
But those little buggers.....

Yer. Used to love catching them in the Stour around Canterbury. Don't know whether they are Jack or Jill but a small pike is just like anything at that stage of its life... more energy than sense:)

What about Eels ?
Those buggers don't ever give up.

Would agree eels are the worst by far, especially bootlaces. Writhing around, winding up you line, net, wrist and anything else knotting everything up and covering it in slime.

Jacks are placid and serene by comparison IMO.
