I have an ASI crossdrawer box which I have had for around 12 years. I`ts in excellent condition as I have looked after it and intend to keep it.
I have discovered one of the handwheels
that secures one of the front drawers has
gone missing. These are the handwheels with the slightly longer thread. Does anyone know if spares are still available and where from.

I thought the drawers on the ASI were secured by the double pin that went trough the middle ?, mind you mine was one of the very early models so they probably changed the design.

Anyway, I doubt if youl get dedicated spares for them, but it would be a fair guess that none of the bolts used for the ASI's were bespoke items, more likely they are a standard product of a specialist fixings firm. Try someone like cromwell tools or Buck & Hickmen or other fixings merchants.

Hi Beecy
Thanks for that. The pin you mention is for the side drawer set up.
When ASI introduced the cross drawer version they designed in two handwheels to secure the two front drawers.
I deal with both Cromwell Tools and Buck and Hickman on a regular basis and hadn`t thought of enquiring through them. Will give them a try.

Beecy your a gem !
The triangular male treaded handwheel looks
the business. I`ll just have to verify the thread size and I`ll give them a ring.
Thanks mate.
