Are the Longbows designed for distance fishing? i.e are they fast actioned?

Reason I ask is that I saw a small review saying that they had a through action (which is perfect for moi) but I thought that thay were fast tippy designs.

Thanks

Thanks for taking the time to review this rod and sharing your thoughts.
Would be useful if you mentioned the action of the rod, afterall that is what people really want\need to know.
e.g tippy, through action, medium etc.
I one saw a rod review and the guy tied a 1 pound weight on the end of the line for each rod and you could see the action perfectly.

I'd say the rod has a medium taper, certainly not fast, but not too soft either. But like a lot of things it's all a question of taste and what you're comparing it to. Only one way to be sure and that's to go to a big tackle dealer and have a waggle of a few.
