Harrisons have an advert for rod building workshops, I emailed them about this last year and was told they would be in touch when one was taking place, but as yet nothing.
Len Head wrote a good book some years ago on rod buidling. It was published by Crowood. Don't know if it's till in print. I've built a dozen following his advice. All turned out fine.
