Flooded Rivers

Some people never know when to stop moaning.

Last year it was - the rivers are low, we need some rain, there's no oxygen in the water. This year it's - the river's too high, the water's too coloured, the roads are flooded, and it's thundering.

You just can't please some folks.

)

If a bloke can't have a good old whinge then what's the point of waking up in the morning?

Seriously, I wouldn't have minded the floodwater, except that we couldn't get to the river due to the roads being flooded and the access blocked.

Incidentally, the 'stream' on the right of the picture (to the right of the bush) is the flooded track alongside the river. And this picture shows one of the roads alongside the Trent that were just about passable.

I gathered that about "the stream". No different to how the Thames was in Winter when I was testing these and caught the chub. They're often the best conditions at times, if you can get to them.
