Chub on the fly

Has anybody experience of catching chub on flies and can give some advice on fly types etc

a lovely way to catch chub, they prefer dry bushy flies, I`ve always found Zulus a favorite on the Ribble, but anything with a good hackle on it

Agree with monk the bushier the better. allways liked using Bi-Visuals.

Try Peter Ross, Sinfoils fry, Alexandra.
All fish fry patterns. Also Red Tag, Black and peacock spider.

I forgot all about the butcher and bloody butcher.
Winged ants are also a good ploy July August.

I don't know what you class as a fly John.......but subsurface leaded freshwater shrimp type thingies catch me a few chub!

Fished on a fly rod and line of course!
