Have a look at http://www.multimap.com/
Go aerial photos then type in the postcode of an area you are interested in.
You can then navigate around, change the map scale and insert an SO overlay map.
You need never get lost again when you want to find a fishery or river.

John, i have used Multimap for years..great ain't it :)

I love the fact i can sit at work and scan all the surrounding areas in close up..and then work out where I am going next weekend, without having to buy maps etc :)

It's very interesting John, I love maps and this is even better in some ways.
You could, if you were so inclined send people links to hot swims!

On some of the maps it is possible to see bars and so on on the gravel pits round here , amazing.Try Streetmap.co.uk and getmapping.co.uk. The maps you can buy from here are superb clarity.
